Welcome to our weekly series called “If You Only Do One Thing”.
This is designed to be a task that will take roughly 10 minutes and can be done with materials you have at home.
We want this to be something quick to do, but which will give you a little feeling of accomplishment all week long.
If you only do one thing: give your front porch a quick clean up.
Fall brings all sorts of fun to the front porch, doesn’t it?
Trick or treaters are coming soon! And there are so many holiday decorations to set up. Let’s make sure we give those festive items a nice, tidy space to reside.
Here’s what to do:
- Set your timer for 10 minutes.
- Grab your broom.
- Start at the top of the porch and sweep downward any cobwebs and dead bugs.
- Make sure you give some attention to your doorbell and porch light. Gently sweep away any detritus.
- Finish up with a good sweep of the porch itself.
Remember, we’re not looking for perfection, we’re looking for “much better!”
You’re done! Now go set up your pumpkins.
Bonus points if you grab some Windex and give your porch light a shine.
