A few weeks ago, my incredibly generous sister (love you, Melinda!) gave us yet another bag of toys for Jackson. This one was a garbage bag full of those big Duplo blocks. I thanked her and put them away waiting for the perfect time to introduce Jackson to them. But every time I looked at them, I thought, “meh”.
Then, I went to the Container Store and happened upon the perfect bucket for the blocks. Simple, white and $6. Just the ticket.
Now, let me say, I realize this is NOT a groundbreaking organizing tip. (Wow! Really? Put small things into a larger thing to contain them? Mind blowing, Meredith!)
My point here is that the blocks went from “meh” to my favorite item in his shelving unit for that day. And all it took was a $6 bucket. I think I may have to go back to The Container Store and pick up a few more of those buckets, for the “little pieces” toy phase that’s coming up next for Jackson.
