Apparently, the idea of a Reading Vacation sounds good to a LOT of people. We were blown away by how excited everyone was by the idea. I shouldn’t have been, though, because I was geeking out on the concept as soon as Meredith introduced it. In fact, I got a little carried away.
Geek Alert: I created my own Fantasy Reading vacation.
For me, true peace and quiet is always in the mountains and involves comfy clothes and fantastic coffee, so, for your enjoyment, I give you all the details for my Fantasy Mountain Escape. (Operative word here, friends, is “fantasy”. This working mama ain’t doing this in real life aaaaaaanytime soon.) But a girl can dream, right?
Dream with me…
Where I’d Stay:
A super cozy cabin in the woods, lakeside, of course.
My Cozy Reading Nook inside this Dream Cabin:
My blanket for curling up (AKA: my “crack blanket”, it’s that good):
Pottery Barn Ruched Faux Fur Throw – $129
What I’d Wear:
“Lake Hair Don’t Care” Tank from Etsy -$27.95
Align Crops from Lululemon – $108
Sunset Savasana Sweater from Lululemon – $108
My Coffee (a mainstay for any reading vacation I take) Involves This:
Zero “fox” mug from Etsy – $15.30
Temple Coffee – $19.50
My Notebook for Notes on my Book:
Start an Adventure Notebook from Target – $5.88
My Books for the Weekend:
The Winter People from Amazon – $8.89
Thrive by Arianna Huffington from Amazon – $8.62
And, for fun, a couple more fun things to round out this fantasy weekend:
Yoga Mat from Yoga Design Lab – $68
Wood Grain iPhone Case from Etsy – $19
What do you think? Are you ready to take that fantasy reading vacation with me? Or are you more a “book by the pool in a tropical place” kind of girl?
Let us know and we’ll create another Fantasy Reading Vacation!
