I’m taking an online blogging class called Blogging Your Way from Decor8’s Holly Becker that I’m really excited about. It’s wonderful to have such an expert give us directed assignments that will help us think through what the heck we’re doing on our blogs.
And, it’s been so fantastic to meet lots of new bloggers.
I’ve gotten several requests for a photo showing my notebook for this class and I thought I’d share. Nothing spectacular at all. And the lighting isn’t great because it’s so super dark and stormy out today. Actually, one thing I’m hoping to learn a bit in the class is how to better use the lighting settings on my camera.
My list is on grid paper, of course, in my Bob’s Your Uncle Notebook, which is my go-to favorite.
Now, I’m challenging on the other BYW Students: post a photo of your note-taking process for the homework for our class, either on paper or electronic and share with the rest of us Nosy Nellies!

I read about this class at Decor8 and many good things about the class. All the best! Thanks for sharing
I want to be in this class – checking it out now. Nice handwriting!
Oh, Yes! The class sells out really fast, so be sure to watch her e-class site and jump on it the next time enrollment opens. I’m already learning alot!
So the class is already full
Maybe in the Spring.
When researching this course – did you find any others that interested you? Thanks!
Oh, I wish I had known about that!!! What a great idea!! I really need to take a class!!!

i love the plain moleskine journals. but i was afraid it wouldn’t have enough pages for the class… but the other ones in the store were definitely too thick. so i pimped one of the moleskine journals i had and now i hope for the best
by the way… i LOVE american journals and writing pads. it’s something about the paper. it’s so different than the “german” paper.
“see” you in class!

I like your notebook! I sooooooo want to take this class now, and I haven’t even gone to see what it’s all about.
Hope it’s within my budget!
Oh-how I would enjoy a class like this.
Meredith — I read on the BYW forums the other day that this blog has only been around a few months??? I just discovered it recently and fell instantly, madly in love and have been reading it ever since so when I read that I was shocked! It’s already become a favorite. So glad you are here (and of course in BYW). I’d post my notebook but it is so boring. I may have to remedy that quickly!
@Holly – what a really nice thing to say! I’m so honored you read this little blog. I’m having so much fun with it. Great to see you here!
Very cool! I didn’t know that was available. Good luck!
Meredith – Love the notebook, pen, everything about your lovely desk setup. I’m thrilled to have discovered your blog. I’ll be back time and time again!
I wish I would have known about this class earlier! I would have loved to take it. thanks for sharing
I wish my penmanship was as nice as yours, I didn’t actually buy a notebook for the class. I keep transferring things over to Google doc’s so I can have the information with me all the time. I may invest in a notebook before too long though.
love your notebook! I just grabbed an old blank one we had in our stash of blank books. It’s actually this old ocean print one from when my husband was in school. very 80’s looking in a non-cool, dorky kind of way, =P It works for now. I do mean to recover all the others in the stash, to make them more appealing. I always buy myself blank books without using what I already have. And then people give me blank books that aren’t my style. So yeah, I have a pile of ‘em!
