Seriously? I love these gingerbread houses. The author of NotMartha.org is pure crafty genius.

This brings me great joy. It’s entirely impractical, but wholly clever:

I love those little gingerbread houses. How cute is that? I can’t see myself having the time to make them, but I really like the idea.

Exactly, I would never in a million years actually get up the gumption to make something like this, but I’m somehow comforted that they exist and that someone will make them. They’re just so happy.

When Martha Stewart magazine had a gingerbread house on the cover way back in her first year of publication, I was so inspired I made 12 of them for christmas gifts. http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/swedish-gingerbread-house?
Somewhere I have a photo of a gingerbread house town on my dining room table, complete with pine boughs and powdered sugar snow. I just loved that they were NOT covered with brightly colored candy.
